Member Of 'Hit List' Burglary Crew That Targeted Asian Homeowners In NJ, NY, PA Sentenced
šØš£ššš§š: A member of a burglary ring that specifically targeted Asian-American small business owners in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware was sentenced to a plea-bargained 33 months in federal prison.
James Hurt, 48, of New York, and other members of the second-story crew worked from what the FBI called a hit list of dozens of homes in the four states based on āstereotype and opportunity" from Dec. 2, 2016, to March 20, 2019.
The burglars often got into homes through unsecured upper-floor windows before seeking out cash, jewelry and guns, the FBI said

Woman, 23, Dies After Rear-Ending Roadway Service Vehicle In Mercer County
A 23-year-old driver has died of her injuries after she crashed into an unoccupied roadway service vehicle along Route 29 in Mercer County, authorities said.
Majanae Burke, of Bordentown, was driving northbound in a Honda Civic near milepost 0.7 in Hamilton at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, when the crash occurred, according to New Jersey State Police.

Car Thief Arrested At Colts Neck Golf Course After Crash, Pursuit On Garden State Parkway
Two juveniles and an 18-year-old are in custody after crashing a stolen vehicle on the Garden State Parkway and trying to flee, police said.
Quamir Kirkland, 18, of Somerset, and two juveniles from Mount Laurel and Atlantic City, initially crashed a Kia Sportage stolen out of Atlantic City near milepost 101.7 in Tinton Falls on Saturday, May 26 at 7:25 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said.

12-Year-Old, Adult Killed, Baby, 6-Year-Old Airlifted In Route 78 Warren County Crash: Police
Two people were killed, including a 12-year-old child, in a crash on Route 78 in Warren County on Wednesday night, May 22, authorities said.
At 11:23 p.m., a Lincoln passenger vehicle traveling east on Route 78 in Greenwich Township entered the right shoulder and crashed into the back of an international tractor semi-trailer, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, said.
The driver and a 12-year-old child in the backseat were killed, Lebron said. Three other passengers, including a 6-year-old boy and a 9-month old girl were airlifted to a nearby hospital, Lebron said.

Two Dead, Box Truck Incinerated In Multi-Vehicle Route 80 Crash, Here's What Happened (Update)
šØš£ššš§š: A driver and passenger in a box truck were killed and two occupants of a tractor-trailer hospitalized with severe injuries in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on Route 80 in Hackensack, New Jersey State Police confirmed.
The box truck was instantly consumed by flames as firefighters reached Exit 66 shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21.
"It was a cremation," one responder at the scene said.
Ambiorix Torres-Fernandez, 40, of Paterson, passenger Juan Sanchez-Rodriguez, 27, of Garfield, were declared dead at the scene.

Small Plane Crashes In Hunterdon County
A small plane crashed in a Hunterdon County field on Monday afternoon, May 20, authorities confirmed.
The fixed-wing, single-engine plane landed in a large hay field off of Ellis Road in Holland Township around 4:25 p.m., the county prosecutor's office said.
The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the plane, sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site by the Milford-Holland Rescue Squad. There were no reported injuries on the ground.

Kevin Jackson, 57, of Rahway, NJ, must serve a little over two years before he'll be eligible for release because there's no parole in the federal prison system.
Jackson was part of a second-story crew that the FBI said worked from a hit list of dozens of homes in the four states based on āstereotype and opportunity" from Dec. 2, 2016, to March 20, 2019.
