Authorities have released more information about a fatal crash on a busy New York road that left a New Jersey man dead. Peter Leist, 62, of Denville, NJ was heading west on Route 301 in Carmel, NY, when he crossed over the double yellow lines to pass a few vehicles and collided head-on with a small bus, around 2:10 p.m. Friday, May 31, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said. Overturned Tractor Trailer Closes Ramp From Route 17 To Route 4
An overturned tractor trailer closed the ramp between two major highways in Paramus early Saturday, June 8. Responders said the truck overturned from the Route 17 ramp to the Route 4 west ramp around 7:30 a.m. UPDATE: The flyover has reopened.
