Two young men are facing 500 years in prison after being convicted for their roles in a shootout in Montgomery County last year that was caught on camera, authorities announced. Callen Baker, 20, and Zachary Ciccantelli, 24, both of Rockville, were found guilty on an 18-count indictment that includes charges of assault and weapons offenses, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney. Walmart Cutting Hundreds Of Positions From North Jersey Office
Layoffs are ahead for more than 200 of Walmart's North Jersey employees. A New Jersey WARN notice says the company will begin the cuts to 237 positions at its corporate office in Hoboken on Aug. 14, with more to come on Nov. 1, and Jan. 31, 2025. According to the Wall Street Journal, employees may work remotely but are being asked to spend the majority of their times in the offices. One half of a dubious duo who sold thousands of fentanyl pills will spend years in prison after admitting to his role in the distribution scheme, authorities announced. A young boy in Monmouth County battling brain cancer will have plenty of summer fun thanks to some generous donations. An above-ground saltwater pool was donated to three-year-old Mick Augustitus, the Ashley Lauren Foundation said in a Facebook post. Federal authorities are sounding the alarm over scams that impersonate well-known businesses and government agencies. In 2023, data from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) alone show more than 330,000 reports of business impersonation scams and nearly 160,000 reports of government impersonation scams. Man Lying In Roadway Struck, Killed By Car In Albany
A 64-year-old man was struck and killed by a car in the region while lying in the roadway. The incident happened at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, in Albany’s Pine Hills neighborhood.
