Motorcyclist, 20, Dies In Route 23 Crash
A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a Sussex County crash over the weekend, State Police said.
Ryan Woodstead was heading south on Route 23 in Montague on his Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a Chrysler Pacifica making a lefthand turn, around 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said.
Woodstead, of Highland Lakes, was thrown from his bike and died, near milepost 52, Lebron said.
The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.
Driver Failed To Yield Right Of Way In Fatal Deerpark Crash, Police Say
A pickup driver failed to yield the right of way in a crash that killed a 54-year-old man on Route 209, according to police.
The collision took place in Orange County around 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 19 in Deerpark.

Sussex County Man, 38, Gets 3 Years State Prison For Child Pornography Possession: Prosecutor
A Sussex County man who pleaded guilty to child pornography will spend three years behind bars, authorities said.
Michael Raub, 38, was sentenced to three years state prison at the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center during his appearance in Sussex County virtual court on Sept. 14, Prosecutor Francis A. Koch said.
Raub, of Highland Lakes, also faces lifelong parole supervision, Megan’s Law registration, submission of DNA samples, compliance with Internet restrictions after being released and payment of fees totaling $2,255, Koch said.

Late-Night Blaze Destroys West Milford Home
No one was home when a roaring fire consumed a West Milford home Monday night, displacing its three residents, responders said.
The blaze broke out in the 2½-story Cape Cod on Macopin Road, south of Bubbling Springs Park, just after 8:45 p.m., Police Detective Sgt. Eric Darnsteadt said.
The fire went to four alarms a little over an hour later and then a fifth 20 or so minutes after that.

Oakland PD: Drug-Using Ex-Con From NY Was Carrying Gun
An ex-con nabbed by Oakland police on drug charges was carrying a handgun, authorities said.
They first grabbed Logan Dipaolo, 24, of Chester, NY, after receiving a call shortly before 9 a.m. Monday of a man who at first was laying outside a vehicle on Franklin Avenue, Police Detective Lt. Christian Eldridge said.
Seeing a responding officer, Dipaolo got up and ran into the woods near Route 287, Eldridge said.
Officer Christopher Tinio and Detective Robert Hintzen quickly got him into custody, then found several heroin folds and hypodermic needles in his car, the lieutenant said.

A missing Sussex County teen was found dead on Monday, authorities said.
The body of Jordin Tenk, 15, of Highland Lakes, was found around 12:30 p.m., in a heavily wooded area near Hamburg Mountain by search team members with the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office, Hardyston Township Police Chief Bret Alemy said.
A firearm was recovered at the scene, police said. There incident was not considered a threat to the general public, Alemy said.
