A Fairfield County man was arrested for alleged DWI after crashing into the back of a construction vehicle in a work zone in Westchester.
Fabian Madera, age 43, of Shelton, was arrested around 10:20 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, after New York State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-95 in Mamaroneck, said Trooper Tara McCormick.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Madera was driving a Toyota Camry northbound, approaching a lane closure in a work zone when he rear-ended a construction vehicle blocking the right lane, McCormick said.

A Pipersville woman was arrested after brutally beating a man in a drunken domestic dispute last weekend, authorities said.
Christina Bennett, 31, of Pipersville, was charged with simple assault and more following the March 6 incident in Plumstead, local police said.
Officers responded to a home in the 5800 block of Bradshaw Road on reports of a domestic dispute when they found a man with scratches and fresh wounds, bleeding and alone, police said.
Officers also found several broken items around the home, and a "highly intoxicated" woman -- later identified as Bennett, police said.

A 67-year-old man was arrested by state police for felony DWI following a single-vehicle crash in Westchester.
Patrick R. Bridgewater, of the Bronx, was arrested around 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, in New Rochelle, said Trooper Tara McCormick.
According to McCormick, the state police responded to a one-car property damage accident on I-95 in the city of New Rochelle. Once on the scene, they found Bridgewater has lost control of his Jeep Cherokee on the southbound acceleration ramp and became disabled on top of the barrier between the ramps.
