Drunk, Wrong-Way Driver Flees On Foot After Being Busted On Thruway In Rotterdam, Police Say
An alleged drunk driver is facing multiple charges after he was busted driving the wrong way on a highway in the region, authorities said.
Greene County resident Conor Moan, age 25, of Greenville, was arrested for felony DWI and other charges following a near-crash that occurred early Sunday, March 5, on the Thruway in Schenectady County, in the town of Rotterdam.
Troopers first spotted Moan at around 2 a.m. as he drove a Subaru Legacy westbound in the eastbound lane on I-90 near exit 26, according to State Police. They avoided a head-on crash by veering onto the right shoulder.

Rosendale Man Busted For Beating Woman, Taking Police On Pursuit, Cops Say
A man has been charged in connection with the alleged violent beating of a woman and then taking deputies on a pursuit in the Hudson Valley.
Ulster County resident, Matthew A. Dequarto, age 23, of Rosendale, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, for the Monday, Tuesday, Feb. 13 assault, said Lt. Joseph Sciutto of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office.
On Feb. 13, deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a woman screaming for help on Springtown Road in the town of Rosendale.

Erratic, Wrong-Way Driver Hits 2 Cars In Head-On Southampton Crash, Police Say
A 48-year-old woman is facing charges after allegedly striking two cars head on while driving erratically on Long Island, authorities said.
Several people called 911 at around 2:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, to report that the driver of a Honda had struck multiple highway signs and guard rails on Route 27 in Southampton, according to the Southampton Town Police Department.
Investigators said the driver, identified as Tatiana Martin, of Easthampton, then merged onto County Road 39, near the Southampton Golf Club, continuing to strike signs and driving on curbs.

A local woman is facing a host of charges after allegedly fleeing from police on the Long Island Expressway
Just before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, a trooper attempted to stop a black BMW 650i on the eastbound LIE between exits 70 and 71 in the town of Brookhaven, New York State Police said.
While fleeing, the driver, Sade Williams, age 22, of East Patchogue, exited at Old Country Road ramp, lost control and struck a sign before fleeing on foot, according to police.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 in Centereach.
Ant’Wan Pevy, age 25, of Ronkonkoma, was driving a 2011 Kia sedan northbound on Nicolls Road when he suffered a medical event that caused him to lose control of the vehicle, Suffolk County Police said.
The Kia struck a 2016 Nissan SUV being operated by Zachary Morrison, 29, of Holbrook, that was westbound at the traffic light at the intersection of Middle Country Road and Nicolls Road, according to police.

Man Arrested For Having 23 License Suspensions During Long Island Traffic Stop
A Long Island man was arrested for driving with 23 license suspensions.
Henry Torrez Valerio, 50, of Copiague, was arrested Saturday, in North Babylon on Saturday, Nov. 21, around 4:15 p.m., after being stopped driving a 2005 Honda CRV westbound on Prairie Drive and failed to signal at the intersection of Chuck Boulevard, Suffolk County Police said.
During the stop, the officer checked Valerio’s license and found that it had been suspended 23 times on 14 different dates, Suffolk County Police said.

Two Long Island men were arrested for alleged outstanding warrants and for one fleeing the scene and locking himself in a nearby restaurant bathroom.
Joshua Mordi, 23, of Valley Stream, and Deonte O'Connor, 23, of Uniondale, were arrested around 4:25 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19 in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers observed Mordi commit multiple violations while driving a red 2001 Acura northbound on Meacham Avenue.

Man Wanted For Criminal Impersonation, Other Charges, In Westchester, Police Say
State police are searching for a man who was driving without a license, gave police a false identity, then never showed up in court.
According to police, 33-year-old Justin Martinez, who is known to frequent Middletown in Orange County, is wanted in Westchester by the town of Greenburgh court for the felony of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and the misdemeanors of second-degree falsifying business documents and second-degree criminal impersonation.
Martinez stands at 5-foot-8, weighs 125 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Long Island Trio Nabbed For Armed Robbery Of Man In Parked Vehicle, Police Say
Three Long Island men were arrested for allegedly robbing a man parked in a vehicle in Elmont.
The incident took place around 2:15 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, near the intersection of Kirkman Avenue and Blossom Street, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, a 25-year-old man was in his vehicle near the intersection when a silver 2002 Jaguar with three men inside approached the vehicle.
Two of the men identified as Deshawn Foy, 30, of St. Albans, and Inmouni Gooden, 25, of Elmont, exited the Jaguar and opened the doors of the victim’s vehicle, police said.
